BigDownload.com Interview Jeff Hickman

Haven’t seen much Hickman stuff over the past few weeks, so for all you Jeff Hickman fanbois, you should enjoy this. BigDownload.com has quite a long interview with Teh Hickman (yes, I misspelled ‘The’ on purpose). The interview covers lore, PvE, PvP and has just a nice range of information, so it’s worth a read.

Next-Gen.Biz: A Summary of WAR

For any avid WAR fan this article will contain nothing new, but it’s a great (a relatively short) summary of Warhammer Online’s boasted features. Why is that useful? Well it’d probably be a good idea to send the link to all your WoW-friends in hopes of converting them.

GameSpot AU Interviews Josh Drescher

200805191616.jpg

GameSpot Australia has interviewed everyone’s favorite Associate Producer for WAR…Josh Drescher. I’m not even going to bother summarizing this “extended” interview, just read it, soak it up, and bask in the glory that WAR will become.

GamesIndustry.biz’s Interview with Josh Drescher

I mentioned last week that GameIndustry.biz was going to post their full Josh Drescher interview and now it’s here, and it’s one of the better interviews I’ve seen. Drescher offers are detailed responses and there are no “Yes” or “No” responses.

Q: What challenges do you face in developing an MMO, especially in a post-WoW world?

Josh Drescher: As a studio Mythic has actually been developing massively multiplayer games for over a decade, so they’re not challenges that are surprises to us, we’ve been working and innovating around for well over a decade or so.

200805140658.jpg

Syp continues his “Imperial Inquisition” series, this time interviewing Wrenn from WarhammerConflict.com

WAAAGH!: Tell us a bit about yourself — your handle/screen name/real name, age, real life occupation, your pevious MMO experience, and your play style.

WRENN: My name is Dominic “Wrenn” Graziano. I’m a 43 years old male and live near Scranton, Pennsylvania. For several years I was known as KelsonEA – as I was a tester for EA Sports for a number of years, and a Community Leader from 2004-2005. Right now, I am an underwriter for commercial loans.

bit-tech.net Interviews Josh Drescher

Picture 1.png

What a great morning this has been. I woke up before everyone else, the sun is shining, I sold one of my websites for a nice sum, ran through a couple of missions on GTA IV, and then an interview with Josh Drescher pops up in my RSS reader. Okay, well truthfully I saw the story a couple of hours ago, but come on, GTA IV was waiting!

What surprised me with the interview is Drescher stated that there are 750,000 beta applicants. I’m guessing with all the recent WAR news beta sign ups ramped up and the graphic just hasn’t been updated yet. Other then that, it’s a fairly standard interview, but it’s short, so you may as well read it.

Warhammer Online has “five years of content”

200805092154.jpg

Well this made me smile. In a recent interview with gamesindustry.biz, Josh Drescher has stated that “All the under-the-hood numbers all actually scale through the next five years”. That’s probably not the best quote to explain it, so check out the full article for all the details.

The full interview from gamesindustry.biz will be published next week.

Interview with Ted from Warhamma

200805070727.jpg

And the interviews over at Waaagh! continue, this time with Ted from the currently-not-running Warhamma podcast.

WAAAGH!: Tell us a bit about yourself — your handle/screen name/real name, age, real life occupation, your previous MMO experience, and your play style.

TED: My name is Ted Childers although online I’ve gone by many names such as Tedero, Awesomizer and Freaky Big. I’m a 30-something living in Houston, TX where I work as a Desktop Support Supervisor for a large manufacturing company. My first online gaming experience was back in my early college days circa 1993-1995 where I played (and coded) the MUDs Highlands and Dawn of the Immortals. After leaving the MUD scene I didn’t get back into online gaming (aside from FPS games like Tribes and Quake) until City of Heroes came out. I played CoH for a few months and then jumped over to World of Warcraft where I’ve spent most of my time playing an alliance rogue. I’ve also dabbled with Star Wars Galaxies, City of Villains, Guild Wars and Vanguard.

I reckon it’s great to know more the people behind the WAR community sites, so check it out. ;)
