New Podcast: ChaosCast

Aw man. Just after I’ve been unsubscribing from heaps of podcasts because I was spendng too much time listening to them ChaosCast has come along. I haven’t had a chance to listen yet, but I’ll make sure to check it out when I get home in a few hours.

ChaosCast is hosted by: Syp of Waaagh!, Keen of Keen & Graev’s Gaming Blog, and Snafzg of The Greenskin - that’s quite an epic lineup so it’ll definitely be a podcast to watch out for.

Check out the podcast here.

Warhammer Geek Parody: Rock This War

200805270700.jpg

Will these guys ever stop? Hopefully not! This new parody song from Warhammer Geek is based on the song Walk This Way by DMC. Hey guys, why not release something that’s more akin to my music tastes? Why not make parodies of Jack Johnson, or the John Butler Trio…? Sure, it may not fit with the theme of WAR but I’d love it. ;)

Podcast of Reckoning: Episode #2

200805200743.jpg

Yay, another podcast to listen too today (it’s strange, most of the podcasts I listen too are released around this time). In this episode of the Podcast of Reckoning the guys will discuss:

  • The Latest News - All the latest news
  • Best of the Web - Orlock & Svoald point out some of the best articles in the Warhammer Community
  • The Great Debate - The main topic of the evening “Where does WAR stand in the MMO battlefield?”
  • Community Interview - We interview Snazfg, the guy behind thegreenskin.com

Frontline Second Edition Released

200805131619.jpg

Warhammer Online-dedicated online magazine, Frontline, has released their second edition. Seeing as the majority of this blogs audience is English speaking I doubt I’ll report on new editions of this magazine (as it’s all in German), so if you can, and want to read it, then bookmark the site.

Check out the second edition here.

New Warhammer Geek Parody

Seriously, I don’t think explaining these things is worth it, they’re just too top notch. Enjoy another parody from the team at Warhammer Geek.

Witch Elf Woman

A parody of Pinball Wizard by The Who (although we used the Elton John Version). We round off the Destruction Trifecta with the release of this homage the Queen of Dagger wielding carnage, The Witch Elf. This parody was sung by Jethal Silverwing and written by Orlock.

If only I were German…

200805090746.jpg

If only I were German, or could at least speak German, then I could enjoy this newly launched Warhammer Online community and magazine known as Frontline. I’d love to say “omg it is teh awesome”, but honestly I don’t know for sure as I can’t read the damn thing.

Check it out for yourself here.

Viva La Revolution

Orlock over at Warhammer Geek has said what all us Warhammer fansite owners were thinking, “…it seems that the WAR community sites are very happy to be trumpeting a fan fair at any and all of the cool things that others have done.

That is such a true statement. I’ve followed many games (as I’m guessing many readers have) and for the most part fansites seem to be in this huge competition with each other, and the owners of the sites get so protective they never link to their competitors so there readers never get all the content they could.

It’s nice to know I can break a story and get recognition, and that fansites can do something cool and people will find out about it.

Podcast of Reckoning

200805060736.jpg

I love a good podcast, but unfortunately due to time zones I won’t be able to listen to the live stream of Warhammer Geeks “Podcast of Reckoning” which starts today in just under one and a half hours.

You can tune in on Online Gaming Radio at 4PM Pacific Time. To find out what time it currently is in Pacific Time just type “pacific time” in to Google. At least I’ll be able to download the show after as I love a good podcast.

WAR Conference Call

So some lucky buggers got to be apart of a teleconference call with some of the guys behind Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. I’m sure people are still writing up their recount of the call so I’ll probably just keep updating this post with all the links to the articles.

And the way GamePlasma.com sums up the call I’m even more disappointed I missed it.

Some other tidbits that were taken out of the teleconference were:

- Catapults will have to account for wind and other factors

- Women enjoy pouring boiling oil on men

- Big emphasis is on RvR and teamwork

- No exact release date set (cue robotic voices)

- Developers choose not to wear pants whenever possible

- There will be ships

Flash Game: Orbs

image

Okay, I admit it, I haven’t had a chance to properly check out this flash game, but it looks pretty cool (I just wanted to report on this before I had to leave). The game is made by the webmaster of WarhammerInfo.com and is sure a great way to get more fans. I’ve been thinking I should maybe make a couple of flash games.
