Or will we have as many legolas' as we do goregutzs. Either way for a PC to take the name its lame |

| | | i'm concerned about class balance and the viability of all 3 healers on either side. unless the disciple of khaine has some serious survivability, they're going to get torn up rather quickly. from what people are saying shaman can't really heal all that well - which is disapointing because that really only leaves you with one option if you want to be a serious healer, not just a hybrid who can heal a little. keep in mind i hope to be proven wrong here.
one of the things that drives me nuts about wow is that when you curse over someone on the opposite side it tells you what class they are, in daoc you had to be able to look at someone and tell from their gear what they were - this requires some actual skill, i am a fan of this (i know it's dumb, but it bothers me nonetheless)
the overall survivability of healers is a big concern for me, one of the best things about daoc as a healer was the simple fact that you wore chain mail, you had a heavy type of armor and didn't just go down like a chump - zealots are wearing next to nothing, they've told us shaman don't have good survivability and as previously mentioned - a healer sitting in the middle of a melee fight is going to die fast, period.
one of the big issues for daoc imo was the fact that there were too many classes, so game balance was extremely difficult to achieve, and there were quite a few classes that there just weren't a use for, in the fact that they had no cc, no heals and there were people who provided better dps (theurgists come to mind, so do wardens - not bad classes, but if you can only have 8 people, why bring one of those?) so class balance is a concern.
anway yeah - i'm greatly looking forward to WAR, but there's lots to be worried about, lol. |
